BLOOD CUP

The DRU is presenting a Cup (Dexter Porter Trophy) and $500 to the Illawarra Rugby Club which gains the most blood donations this season.

A reminder that the mobile Blood Bank is on Campus (near the HopeTheatre) from today & Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.

For those that can't get to the Uni by 4 pm - the Wollongong Blood Bank is located in Loftus St, Wollongong (just behind the Hospital). It is open until 6 pm on TONITE.

Please mention you are from the Mallee Bulls! Ask your friends to donate blood as well (and of course they are honorary Mallee Bulls for the week). You do not need me to tell you the importance of blood for the Blood Bank.

I can tell you that if we win the $500 - the money will be on the bar at Presentation night.

It will take 1 hour of your time (there is some paperwork and a blood test and a recovery time).

There are restrictions:

can't have had a tatoo in the past�12 months

can't have lived for 6 months in the UK from 1980 to 1996.

must be netween 16 and 70 yrs old

Also they ask that you drink 3 glasses of water in the hour before donating blood and also have� alight snack beforehand.ALSO YOU MUST BRING ID e.g. drivers license!

19 July Club Dinner This is another not to miss club event to “Put in Your Diary”.

It’s the night the Wallabies take on World Champs South Africa in Perth.

The Club has booked the Serenade Room at the Builders – the up stairs high profile room with a big screen for a club night watching the big match (kick off 10 pm).

The night start at 7 pm with a 3 course meal and drinks package (unlimited beer, wine, soft drinks). Post dinner entertainment is a great comedian (Jimbo - www.jimbo.com.au�) with the big match coverage starting at 9.30 pm.

Tickets for the meal, drinks, entertainment and Big Match are $65 each.
